Hedgehog to keep track of food handlers certification attendance, grades etc. 11 Months, 1 Week ago
We are trying to look if any Health Unit is using Hedgehog to keep tack of Food Handler certification training. Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph public health is looking to explore its use to keep track of food handler training.

Hi there,

Did you ever pursue this avenue? Niagara Region is thinking of going this way as well. We have set up a test and are hoping by the end of the month to move away from excel into hedgehog. I will be creating custom reports for the program assistants.

So far from our tests we have discovered that:

  • The general reports included in Hedgehog are not adequate enough for our use.

  • The required "Area" on the first tab for the participant is redundant

  • Some of the drop down fields have horrible spelling mistakes in them(from our own inspectors) but we are unable to edit them after the fact which makes entering a city rather annoying

  • If I pick a restaurant from the drop down list when creating a participant it does not pull the address information from the Facility Listings
